Do I need my G1 to start training with Yellow Umbrella

You do not need your G1 licence until you start the In Car lessons. Many students attend the classroom lessons first as it helps them prepare for the G1 written test and they also get useful advice from the students who have already completed that challenge (it can be tough!)

Do I need to have my own vehicle for the lessons?

No, you will be required to use our vehicles for your lessons. They are fitted with a passenger brake and have commercial insurance as required by the MTO if training G1 drivers

Are there any age restrictions for enrolling in Yellow Umbrella Driving School driving school?

No. That said, the MTO requires the Beginner Driver Education course to be completed within 1 year of starting training to gain the Driver Training Certification on the Drivers History Record. This is often requested if applying for an insurance discount.
